Updated Lightroom Pugin

Postby Ron » Wed Jan 19, 2011 3:58 pm

Photodex Exciting news! We’ve just released an update to our ProShow Plug-in for Lightroom. The plug-in automatically resizes and exports your photos directly into ProShow. It works with both ProShow Web and ProShow Producer. Best of all, it’s free! Download, learn more and watch a tutorial video on how to get started. http://www.photodex.com/products/plugins/lightroom

Just an FYI for those interested ... link taken from Facebook post.

Thanks for posting this.

At first, I found it odd that the download page that one can get the "new" LR add-in says that the file was published in November 2008. Perhaps the November 2008 date is the original publication date. In any event, Photodex does have a press release about this new plug-in, here:

http://www.photodex.com/company/press/20110117

The plug-in does "work" with the latest version of ProShow Producer. I put the word "work" in quotes because, as to be expected with automatically created shows, at a minimum, you'll most likely need to reposition a number of your photos to get a decent looking show.

Also, for those using 64-bit operating systems, the default path for the ProShow Producer program is incorrect, in the LR plug-in. You can fix this from LR, in the ProShow Configuration section of the plug-in. If you installed ProShow Producer in the default path (assuming Windows on your C drive), the correct location should be:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Photodex\ProShowProducer\proshow.exe
