YouTube - removing related videos at the end
I used to be able to have the related videos removed from appearing at the end of the YouTube videos that I embed on my blog because I was using Smart YouTube.
But my newer blog doesn't seem to be working correctly. Even though I have Smart YouTube plug-in installed, it won't let me get rid of those annoying related videos that aren't mine that pop up at the end. Also I can't find a way to adjust the size or color of the player like before.
Any idea how I can fix this? I went to the guy's website but there hasn't been any updates in a long time to that plug-in.

Re: YouTube - removing related videos at the end
If you're able to alter the URL that your pointing to you should be able to add the code below at the end of the URL to remove the related videos that are displayed when the video is done playing:
I'm not familiar with the plug-in you're using, but you should be able to view the html code for your pages. Included in that should be the YouTube code. I would assume from there that you can edit the display area and the colors.

- Code: Select all

The Smart YouTubeplug-in used to make it so easy. But things change so quickly and it's often hard to keep up.
Thanks so much for the tip Mike.
I just did a google search on the topic (DOH!) and found this helpful too:

I'll have to hunt for the place to past/replace the code to change and make it work but think that would do it as well.
Thanks again.

Re: YouTube - removing related videos at the end
Debbie,
Here is how I do it, by using the code provided by YouTube itself:
See this screenshot:

1. Start playing your clip
2. Notice the little wheel icon on the right side.
3. Press on it (it says "customize")
4. In the new drop down menu that opens, UNCHECK the option "Include related videos"
5. Choose the size and colors that you want, from the rest of the options.
5. After all this, copy the code provided for "Embed"
7. Paste it in your blog.
8. To center your clip on your blog, add this code:
at the beginning:
<center>
at the end:
</center>
That's it.

Re: YouTube - removing related videos at the end
Thanks Mona. I think I have it pretty well figured out now with both Mike's and your help. But now I'm still waiting for the newest YouTube upload of my new show to finish processing. I discovered a typo in the first upload and decided to fix it. Sigh.
