I may be able to help you with one of your questions: I use the Seagate FreeAgent Theater+ to watch ISO files on my HD TV. I connect the unit to my TV with an HDMI cable and the result is perfect! I really like it because you’re able to access all you shows in one place without having to insert a DVD for each show. The quality is the same as blu-ray. The FreeAgent Theater costs about $130 and the Seagate hard drive is another $79 or so.
