Captions Alive Pro (Accent over a letter)
I am attempting to build a script file and cannot seem to figure out how to insert an accent "~" over the letter "n" in a spanish word. I have tried to enter the "~" as (line #2), but when I "build avi" the only output is the line of text and not the accent symbol "~". Any help would be much appreciated - I am probabaly just overlooking something very minor

Re: Captoins Alive Pro (Accent over a letter)
In the Arial font the character ñ is created by pressing Alt+0241. That has to be done on the number keypad.
Not all fonts would have that but there's a good chance the one you're using does if it's not too far out.

Hi Joe,
Thanks for the information. Unfortunately, I did try the various Alt+ sequences. However, with the Captions Alive Pro Program, I cannot input the font I would need. The fonts are limited and will not accept the Alt+ commands.
Thanks again!

Bonnie, I think you're just plain out of luck on this one until there's a CAP font that's amenable to Spanish.

Re: Captions Alive Pro (Accent over a letter)
Try:
---Accessories / System Tools / Character Map
---Find your character and use the COPY button to copy it into the clipboard
---Then PASTE into Captions Alive
Just a guess after many years of wrestling with work-around procedures.

Not entirely sure of this, Mark, but I don't believe it will work. CAP doesn't use the actual fonts in the system.

Re: Captions Alive Pro (Accent over a letter)
Thank you all for your input. Dave Fitzpatrick was kind enough to provide me with the necessary font to make this happen. So, all is well and worked great. Thanks again!
