Free OnOne Software Photoshop Plug-ins

Postby Robert Barnett » Fri Mar 12, 2010 10:31 am

Hello,

I don't know if any one is aware of this but OnOne Software now has two free plug-ins available for Adobe Photoshop.

They are...

PhotoTools 2.5 (Based on the full package)
PhotoFrame 4.5 (Based on the full package)

These are full versions, fully functional, non-time limited products that you can download for free. These are not the full commerical versions of the products. They are more limited, but a full versions of their free versions. Think of them a Lite versions of the standard versions of the commerical products.

You can get more information and download them at: http://www.ononesoftware.com/free

I use the digital fill in flash and few other tools in the free version of PhotoTools 2.5. I wasn't aware they were offering a free version of PhotoFrame. Thanks for posting.

I use the Free onOne Lightroom Presets a lot in almost all my photos but I didn't know they also had free Phototools and Photoframe plugins for Photoshop. Thanks for letting us know Robert.

Excellent catch, Robert. I just now downloaded two different plugins and will be off shortly to play.

I'm freshly here from having deleted the PhotoFrame plugin. I tried several of the frames, which were certainly nice, but then I hit one of them that without fail froze up Photoshop absolutely solid, forcing me to Ctr-Alt-Del my way out of it. I'm really stunned by this because OnOne is giving it away in hopes of attracting people to buy the full-blown set. No one in their right mind would buy a product they know for a fact is faulty. What a shame. I use their Genuine Fractals, which has never given me a bit of trouble.

1. Contact them an let them know about the problem.
2. Try redownloading the plug-in. It is possible that a little something got twixed during download making the download corrupt.

Robert, I'd do precisely as you've suggested if it was really important to me, but in the end, it isn't. After all, my entire business is in the manufacture of frames. :D
