Free Seamless Tile Viewer & More!
I'm going to start off with a disclaimer: I am in no way responsible for you catching yet another graphic collecting obsession. You have been warned!
There are many websites offering seamless tiles for free download. They are small and compact. But ProShow does not tile seamless images, that has to be done in a image editor. Depending on the editor, it usually takes a few steps. "AMP Tile Viewer" is a seamless tile browser that will show a file tiled to your screen resolution. Ive been using it for a while now, and it does more than you might think - it can save the tiled file! You can get it free here http://www.ampsoft.net/utilities/TileViewer.php
From the website:
This program is an image viewer that display the images as a mosaic, using the image like a tile texture. Some of its features are:
* Shows the images as a mosaic, using the loaded image as the 'tile'.
* Provides commands for manual slide show of all the images in a folder.
* Full screen mode, with easy shortcut keys for all the operations.
* Support for multiple image formats:
o JPEG images (*.jpg, *.jpeg, *.jfif)
o GIF (CompuServe) images (*.gif)
o PNG (Portable network graphic) images (*.png)
o TIFF images (*.tif; *.tiff),
o Windows Bitmap images (*.bmp, *.rle, *.dib)
o Photoshop images (*.psd, *.pdd)
o Kodak Photo-CD images (*.pcd)
o Portable Pixel/Gray Map images (*.ppm, *.pgm, *.pbm)
o And many more
* Zoom in and zoom out control.
* Option of showing a grid that delimitates the tile boundaries.
* Can save and/or copy the displayed mosaic image.
I put this program in my windows right click "send to" pop up menu. I right click on my file, send it to AMP Tile Viewer, zoom in or out, and save a great background! I have amassed a very large collection of seamless tiles, and find this program is the fastest way to get a tiled texture for use as a layer or background. Here is a link to a good seamless tile website to get you started: http://webtreats.mysitemyway.com/
It's a small one trick program, but quite useful. I also like their free AMP Font Viewer http://www.ampsoft.net/utilities/FontViewer.php

Thank you Mark for this hat trick of suggestions. All three (the Tileviewer, the Fontviewer, and Webtreats) are great. Thank you again for taking time to let folks know about them...

Thanks. These are all very cool. I was looking for a way to inject some punch into my blogsite background. I'll have to look into the stuff on those sites.
