I couldn't live without my Wacom 8 x 6, which I've had for so long that you'd think I would have worn it through to the other side by now. The only maintenance I've had to do since purchasing it around six years ago is changing the tip in the stylus, but they give you a supply of these that will last a lifetime.
The other thing that couldn't live without this tablet is my wrist. Oh, and also my thumb, which was crippled by right-clicking a mouse.

Yea, I hear ya Barbara. Until I actually get a tablet I won't be doing any projects like the ones I mentioned before.
