Quick Collage

Postby Rik 101 » Tue Apr 14, 2009 1:29 am

Hello all, I found this the other day. so thought I'd share here
Its not necessarily useful in slide shows but my kids love playing with it.

http://www.shapecollage.com/

Its FREE :D PLUS IT does some pretty 'cool' and quick collages.
Best of all it has the option to output as a PSD file so your collage could be layered.

Hmmmmm.... so perhaps lots of creative options there for Producer, like exporting the layers as files then keyframe them to fly in to position in the final image. just a thought for someone here who has some time to experiment

If nothing else it makes a collage really really easy including to your own custom shape.
i ran it on an 10year old computer with 150 photos and produced a couple of reasonable collages really quick for my kids.

I think its well worth downloading and having a play

Enjoy, Regards Rick

Rick,
thanks for the tip.

I've downloaded the program & played with some shapes.
It does very nice LETTERS - will be useful for First Letter of a Title.

I must be doing something wrong. I created a collage in bothJPEG and PSD formats. When I import them to PSP, they appear as blank slides.

Could someone be kind enough to run through what appears to be a simple procedure to create a collage that works with PSP Producer.

Many thanks!!

Marty

Marty,
To help, you need to define the problem a bit more. Some questions / things for you to try

Q. Can you view the collage output files you have made in another application, ie Windows picture viewer for the JPEGs and will Photoshop open the PSD files ?

if yes then try resaving the file as a copy from photo shop preferably in a different folder and then try importing that.

Perhaps try converting your collage PSD file to a PNG in photoshop and try that.

Is Producer importing other JPEGs PSD files or is it directly related to output from Collage maker?

hope that helps.

Regards Rick
