Hello to all,

I need to cut down a video before I insert it into a slide show. Does anyone know what the best one to get or how to get it?

ProShow allows you to select a starting and ending point in your video. Would that be sufficient?

DVD Shrink will do it. You'll have to hunt around for a download link since it's no longer supported. PM me if you don't find it.

Know of a program that will allow you crop mp4 files? I have a video clip that I'd like to add but it runs over 8 minutes. I only want 15 seconds.

If you are really going to use Video, then I would suggest getting a video editor. Either Adobe Premiere Elements or Sony Vegas Studio are two of the best. They both come with trial version for you to test out. Total cost is less than $80 USD. I am partial to Premiere because of its integration with other Adobe products, but the Sony product is also very strong.

With either one of those tools, you can select the portion of the clip that you want and output it so that you can use it inside of ProShow. Let us know how we can help further.

Thanks, Vernon. Great suggestion. I'll check into both Premiere Elements and Sony Vegas Studio. I also work with Adobe products so I'm sure they will all work together seemlessly.

Thanks!
Matt

Hi,I hope this helps,
I've just edited a whole heap of old VHS transfered to dvd movies.
It was ever so simply done with Windows Movie Maker.
I only have the limited version and it did it beautifully.
