Postby bmht » Mon Oct 29, 2007 10:42 am

Hello
for as much as I'm trying to do this I can't

I want to show a smal portion of the picture, background will be black and then the rectangle where the picture shows slowsly fades out and shows the whole picture,
like showing only the eyes and then the whole face

Thanks

I would use a black mask and the zoom out with that. Check the tutorials section, there are some great ideas there! Cheers Jan

I do not wan a zoon out, more like a fade out of the blackbackground, but since it's a mask I don't have a clue on how to achieve it

There are some excellent tutorials on masks in the tutorial section. Start with Masks Exposed Vol 1.

Put your picture on two slides, say slide 1 and 2, exactly the same. On slide 1 use a small rectangular black mask over the part of the picture you want to show. If done correctly you will now have a small part of your picture with a black border when the slide is previewed.

Use the A to B fade transition to the second slide. Make this fade time say 6 secs.

When this is played you will see a small area of your picture for slide 1 and then a 6 sec fade revealing the whole picture.

Never feel dumb asking a question, however simple it may appear to others. It only appears simple to them because at some time they learnt it. If you don't ask you never learn.

Glad you found your way around the mask. I did not go into detail on this because the tutorials cover it.

Bmht, remember that old saying about there being no stupid questions. And anyway, you can't possibly ask a stupid question since I own them all.
