Can I change the Background Opacity
I am looking for a method to change the slide/show background opacity but there does not seem to be a standard feature of PSP. Can someone please advise a method!
Maybe I just have not had my coffee yet, but I don't understand
why you would want to change the opacity of the background.
By definition, there is nothing behind the background, so changing
the opacity so you could see "thru" it does not buy you anything.
I could see using brightness or contrast to make the background
much more subtle (faded) - maybe that is what you are trying to
do ? Maybe I just need to go make the morning coffee ??

You can't have too many gadgets or too much disk space !!

Lots of PIC and Arduino microprocessor stuff too !!

Mike:
Only way I can think of to do this is to not use the background feature. Instead put your background image on a seperate layer for each slide and then adjust the opacity of that layer.

Hi Mikey and Andrzej
What I was trying to do was create a faded look to the background, I did not want it to have that same appearance as the main slides. Thanks Mikey I will try lightening the image, I had thought of using an image on each slide but thought that altering the background was best. Thanks guys

Ah ha -- that's what I thought you might be trying to do.
What you want to do is possibly lighten the image a bit
(as looks best), but turn down the contrast quite a bit - that
is what will make the image "fade" back.

Re: Can I change the Background color during a slide?
Hi,
I was trying to change the color of the background during a slide. At the beginning of the slide I want black and as my layers moved through the slide I want the background to match the layer. Like layer one with a black background, layer two with a red background and layer three with a blue background. I guess as I read this thread, I could use another layer for the background and change it to the color that I want, but just wonder if it can be done with the background?

I have done this sort of thing using colored slides that were created in my Photo Editor program. I have a bunch of colored "background" slides that I regularly use, and then
of course it becomes a layer and you can change the opacity to whatever you want.
A bit more work, but it is "one time" sort of work.
