Colored Transitions??

Postby marmart » Sat Jan 13, 2007 6:20 am

This is a very elementary question in the big scheme of things, but.... I could have sworn I saw colored transitions before. I am doing a kids show and want to color it up a bit but can't for the life of me figure out if you can make transitions a different color??? Anyone out there know how???

Thanks a ton!

Mary

Not sure I understand exactly what you are asking -- usually a "transition"
involves part of the existing slide and part of the next slide in some fashion.
If you mean say a red swirl between slides, you might try putting a red
slide between the two regular ones, use a swirl transition into the red one
a swirl transition out of the red into the next with a 0 sec slide view time.
If your question was different from that, sorry, that is my best guess :?

You can't have too many gadgets or too much disk space !!
mikey (PSP6, Photoshop CS6, Vegas Pro 14, Acid 7, BluffTitler, Nikon D300s, D810)
Lots of PIC and Arduino microprocessor stuff too !!

Thanks Mikey! This gives me somewhat of the look I was looking for(: I worked it a bit and ended up putting a colored slide in between 2 slides, used the same transition, used a viewing time for the slide of 0 sec and also a transition time of 0 for the first transition. So, thank you!!

Peace,

Mary

Hey Mary, In PSP 3 you can change the color of a slide layer over the lenght of the slide. It's the effects button. Will open two windows, like the dreaded KF's. Don
Canon EOS 50D,PSE7,Latest Producer, new computer...don't know specs off hand but runs Producer with no problems.

Thanks Weldr - I am finishing this up in 2.6 - but thanks for the tip for when I finally get to 3.0 - which I am dreading by the way. Is it just me, or is 3.0 just not user friendly anymore??

Peace,

Mary

3.0 is like Unix -- it is user friendly, it is just careful about who its friends are

Seriously, once we get a number of these things figured out and documented so
people understand them (like Keyframes -- which Jenn really helped with !!),
I think it will be great - unfortunately, for some of this, the "learning curve"
is like looking up at the cliffs of Dover !! (especially since they chose to do it
different than what people are used to in the NLE world for example). It would
have been nice if the user manual for version 3 had gone into some more detail
too ... (less than 1/2 the size of the 2.6 manual)
