gpsmikey wrote:Hmmm -- two things come to mind:
1) you say "added px" - did you actually add ".px" to the tmp or did you change
the file name from psgxx.tmp to psgxx.px ??? (if the icon does not change to a
photodex icon, it means your system does not recognize the fact that .px is a
photodex extension)

2) did you uninstall presenter from your system for some reason ?? Are there
other files on your system that end in .px (do a search) -- do they show the
photodex icon on them ?? If not, somehow, your system has lost the association
between .px and presenter.

I just had a flash...yes I added.px, but the first show I saved this way was the one by Jen - the Keyframe Tutorial, the one I can't get to work is I think done with 2.6. Didn't 3.0 come with a new presenter dowload? Maybe this show needs the other presenter? Okay, so my flash was probably just that.

Mary -- you need to change the name (replace the ".tmp" with ".px" ) on
the temp file. You didn't answer the second part of the question -- do other
.px files on your machine show the photodex logo indicating they are
recognized as photodex files ??? Remember to CHANGE the file
extension NOT add to the file - you want psgxx.px NOT psgxx.tmp.px

(don't forget you have to finish letting it download too before you
copy it).

Pat you were right the first time all credit to Mikey, he’s the wiz-kid who backs up his suggestions and solutions to our problems with 100% support. .......Me, well I’m like the horse that falls at the first hurdle……It’s because of these d*m ...Blue fuzzy slippers I now own…. they slow me down so much….....It’s just that sometimes……….just sometimes…...…. I forget that I got them on…..

See just how he has helped Mary in the time it’s taken me to reply to you. (5 or 6 posts up)….but with me to give such a speedy response I need 3 days written notice.

I'm with you Andy! I used to think time was going faster each year until I realized it was I who was actually getting slower. I took your advice, but instead of buying a dress I bought a new pair of pink fuzzy slippers......they're damn comfy!! THANKS!
Pat
P.S. Pretty soon I might even see if I can find some loose comfy housedresses (do they make them in tie-dye?) and I'll be wearing those around the house. OMG!!!!! I'M MY MOTHER!!!!!

You sure Andy didn't mean for you to buy a dress for your hubby to wear? ;-)

He's pretty perceptive with such things, or so the rumour goes....

Hey Mary -- give me a pointer to the show you are trying to
get and I will see if I have a problem with it -- we can work
from there to figure where the problem is.

Oh my That's quite a visual I'm getting right now of hubby wearing a dress! ABSOLUTELY NOT!! Especially when his legs look so much better than mine.......hee hee. Right about now is one of those times I'm really happy that hubby is completely computer iliterate. If he read this I'd be banned from ever using the internet again....... :?

You want visual -- a number of years ago, for a friends 40th birthday,
I showed up in a dress, my hairy legs, a blonde wig and other
"accessories" needed to complete the picture for his party. The
rest of the people (my wife included) could not stay standing they
were laughing so hard -- oh, I almost forgot the necklace,
lipstick and false eyelashes. Kept people awake for days after :P

Oh Mikey! You've GOT to put the photo of you wearing a dress in your next slideshow (I hope someone took your photo....PRICELESS!) Even if you just make a slideshow of that one picture alone....I'd Love to see that!! I'll bet your legs are better than mine too...

Andrzej….oh not so sure about being perceptive, but I can tell that we seem to be on the same wave length …and that's really nice…….

Oh…and thank goodness I was fast asleep over here while all of you were having your play time over there, oh Mikey I would never have the pluck to go to a fancy dress party dressed as a woman, but then......... I suppose if I was ugly anyway.......... I would feel quite safe too.
Mikey all my Good Friends love to hate me!!!! I do hope you are starting to hate me as well.
Now I must open up Producer and get on with my training…..

I can tell I am going to have to "drag" that VHS tape out and
extract some video from it - it certainly was funny!!

As a followup on marmart's problem, I was able to download the
show she was having a problem with using our regular method
with no issues (and I emailed her also) so I am not sure exactly
what the problem is, but I suspect she may be missing a step
or not waiting until it has finished downloading. We'll see what
she finds.
