Slide layer timing

Postby visimagery2 » Sat Feb 17, 2007 8:45 am

Jennifer,

Thank you for the keyframe tutorial. I am very familiar with Proshow Gold, but have just started out with Proshow Producer. I am having a difficult time when trying to create a multi-layer slide, which fades in each individual layer in a particular order. For example when I have three layers and want to control when each transitions in and out, and when the next one continues. I still do not have the proper timings set up. I'm not sure what I am doing wrong. Any suggestions for me.

One thing that I have found that helps me for a multi-thingie
slide with key frames is to, on a piece of paper, draw a timeline
and indicate on there where your major transitions are and
mark them with the number of seconds at that point. What
would be really cool would be if Photodex could allow us to
select say 4 or 5 layers and have the key frame timeline show
those layer timelines at the same time (4 or 5 timelines in one
window). Make life much easier. Anyway, back to your
problem - try the drawing a timeline on a sheet of paper trick
and tag the key points on the sheet. See if that helps you to
figure out what you want to do with the individual key frames.
You can either set the keyframe time with a right click deal or
simply drag it on the timeline to change it.

We have also found that approximately 1/2 box of wine
seems to help with key frames (well, it doesn't look any
better, but you don't care :D )

You can't have too many gadgets or too much disk space !!
