Hi:
Not sure if this has been posted in the past but knowing the angst
one can experience with video-sync issues, (like me as of yesterday)
I wanted to pass along something I just tried that WORKED!
I created a rather elaborate 2:45 show for a political candidate
that utilized a variety of no-audio, stock video footage along with
3 specific video clips of the candidate talking.
Once everything was completed, I rendered a 720 Quicktime MOV, h264
and lo and behold his audio was racing ahead of the video in all three
locations. I tried a zillion different work-arounds from converting
his video clips to different codecs, types etc., to eliminating other
elements of the show but again, no luck.
I had a million things going on in the show and figured it was just
too much for Producer 6 to handle. For instance, my main music
mixes were on the main audio line and then my voice over track
was on slide one to let play throughout and THEN, a bunch of different
slide sounds on almost EVERY slide. THEN...the idea hit me.
I made three separate cuts of each of his clips' audio tracks and then used each
as SLIDE SOUNDS since I could regulate a slide sound's playback precisely.
Once inserted, I put his video's AUDIO settings to ZERO and adjusted each
slide sound of his voice to sync with his lips and then crossed my
fingers. After the render, I hit play and IT PLAYED BACK PERFECTLY!
SO...with that said, keep in mind that if you run into this issue,
you MIGHT be able to grab the audio of your VIDEO clip and use it as
a SLIDE SOUND! (Just remember to kill all audio on the clip itself)
I hope this saves someone from pulling his or her hair out.
Mine comes out naturally but the effect was certainly there
for more than a few hours.
GOOD LUCK!
