Part 2!!
After several great questions and comments, I wanted to make a Part 2. In this short extra you'll learn how to make the wall pause before and after panning, how to add more pictures to the wall and you'll also learn that Barbara should always be consulted before making tutorials;)

And what she says should always be tested in depth to make sure she isn't talking through her hat.
What's below isn't for you, Jennifer. It's certainly something already in your knowledge base, but it may help others who've done battle with beginnings and ends that run too slowly:
This trick helps keep the beginning and end from running too slowly because of transitions. The problem occurs when, for simple instance, there are 4 keyframes where there's motion between keyframes 1 and 2 and between keyframes 3 and 4. Say a photo drops down from the top, halts in the center, then drops down and offscreen at the bottom. If you add a 2-second transition at both sides of the slide, this will extend the motion, which may not be what's wanted. In the example, after adding the transitions, if you move keyframe 1 in so it coincides with the end of the transition, and if you move keyframe 4 in so it coincides with the beginning of the transition, things won't be dropping in ultra-slow motion.

How about another tiny shortcut to add the "dupe layer" suggestion.
For those of you that like to use shortcut keys, highlight the layer to be duplicated and use CTL+D to create it. This takes less clicks.
