Title show

Postby reptep » Sun Apr 29, 2012 8:31 am

I want to make a standard title slide so that I can apply it to all of my shows that I do.

How do I do this. Do I make the slide in a seperate show (with only that slide) and then combine
the title slide show (with only 1 slide) with my actual show? Not sure what is the best way to have
that title slide available for all of my videos. Obviously I don't want to make it everytime I do
a new show
Thanks for the suggestions

I'm sure there are a number of ways to do it, but probably the easiest (assuming it is not just a single slide with 1 layer :D ) would be to create a simple show with just the intro you want (including music etc). Save it as "my_intro.psh" or whatever. Next time you start a show, start by opening that intro show then save it in the folder of choice under the name of the current show. That way, you have your intro, but have not modified the original at all (make sure you have a backup copy just in case you do save over it by accident (not that I have ever done anything like that .. )

I have a standard intro I use with demos, and the way I did it was to create it in a show--just one slide--and save it as a slide style. Now all that's needed is to apply the style to a blank slide at the beginning of the show. Done.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Barbara..to clarify...I can have video, audio, etc all in 1 slide (several layers) and just make a
slide style of that? That would be easiest but I didn't know I could do that.
So when I finish the slide with audio, video, captions, etc....that WILL save as a style/

Absolutely everything can be saved in the style, but make sure images or video aren't designated as being "replaceable" (in Layer Settings). The sound has to be a slide sound, not in the regular soundtrack.

Barbara,
So if the sound is actually coming from the video itself, will that not work?

There's no reason that it shouldn't work. Give it a try. You won't break anything. :D
