Ok, so I am already thinking about my son's end of year slideshowfor his 4th grade class. The theme will be Mission Possible and I founf these two inspirations. Any ideas or thoughts on how to do something like this in with Photodex? I love the first show and how the white line moves. I am open to suggestions as well. I have time on my side but thought I would start to get my feet wet.

Thank you in advance,

Colleen

For the first video, the author says he used mostly After Effects. For a lot of the effects I can sort of figure out how he did them, or at least how I would attempt to do them. I actually did a similar silhouette effect by filming the subject against a green screen and then playing with the threshold. It's not hard if you have the right tools.

It would require software that has a camera and can move in X, Y, and Z space. Even though PSP has "3D Tilt" it's still not a 3D program so I would guess it would be very hard to do in PSP.

The same is true for the second video. Although it's not mentioned, it looks like an AE file plus some plugins from Videocopilot (optical flares) and Particle Illusion (the gauges).

I will say this, a lot of work went into both those productions. :)

Joe I think you are right about it being a lot of work. I think mine will end up a lot less polished. It is nice to have a little vision to start with. It is a good thing on one will see this to compare mine to.

Thanks for the response and wish me luck,

Colleen,
The easiest way to get the moving white line would probably be with VisiSketch pro. http://www.visisketchpro.com/ Use your favorite graphics program to draw the white line, save it and load it into VisiSketch. The program is around $40, but it has a fairly easy learning curve.

Thank you. I do have the first version of visisketch. I forget sometimes. I would probably need to get the pro. Have never had to time to master it but it looks perfect for that white line effect.

Thanks again,

Colleen
