Showing jpg number in timeline

Hi everyone,
Could someone please tell me how to get the number of the JPG into the timeline of my show?

I realize that this was covered fairly recently on the forum but I did not take note of how to do it

Choose edit from the menu. Then Preferences - Appearance - Text for unnamed slides "use name of top layer"

Thanks, Darlene. I just could not find the prevoius thread. The ability to see the jpg number in the timeline makes life so much easier.

i had the same question. but it appears that if you put a slide style on the layers, it will show a style name and not the name of any picture file. unless i am missing something
