saving options

Postby dimi_arachi » Tue Nov 23, 2010 8:21 pm

I am about to reformat my hard drive.

I want to save some of my shows which are in working progress.

What option do I need to use to save a show with all the bits & pieces from all locations and folders?

Once I load back I need to re edit the show.

I think that the function
File > Collect show files
will accomplish exactly what you are looking for.

If you used special fonts, then you will need to install them on your new computer too.

In addition to the font file, you might want to be sure to have the menu file you've created for your show placed in your specific show folder, including images used for thumbnails too if it's something you haven't used in the show. I also will sometimes put a copy of the the DVD label file in the show folder even though I save the bulk of them in my "Epson Print CD" data folder.

Is it absolutely necessary that you reformat now, while you're in the middle of a project(s)?

If it was me, I would try to tough it out until the project was done. Then I would follow Mona and Deb's advice.
