Re: red opening curtain
There is a style with a red curtain opening in Photodex' Pack of Styles no. 1.
If you bought that pack, you can download it again from Photodex's site.
Log into the site and you will find all your purchased products.
There is also a free version here in the forum, in the Member Created Files section.
On page 2, at the bottom - It's called "Sweeping Lights Demo and Tutorial".
It may be a bit old though.

You can colorize the one in the Member Created Files.
Here is how:
In your fist slide
Layers > Editing > Colorize
Use the Color Picker to choose a red shade and apply it to the layer with the curtain.
Copy this red color to all the other slides where you see the curtain.
Even if the layer is a video file and not a jpg, you can still colorize it.
Colorize > RIGHT click on the color red > Copy color to other layers
Select the slides and put a check mark next to every curtain, in every slide that it appears.
1 minute of work

Re: red opening curtain
Would this red curtain do?
files/RedCurtain01.jpg
Save this image to a file on your computer and then add the picture to your slide show. To make the curtain open and close just use the appropriate opening and closing transition
