Grouping captions?

Grouping captions?
I have a requirement to be able to group captions then apply a motion to the group, but I can't find a solution.
Ideally I'd like to have the two captions above each other for example
CAPTION1
CAPTION2
I'd then like to group the two captions and rotate them 90 degrees on the centre axis anti-clockwise.
Am I missing something obvious?
I could recreate in Illustrator and import as a .png, but the issue is the previous captions all have multiple motions in previous slides so including a .png would not be a good solution and difficult to align etc.
Open to your valuable suggestions

Re: Grouping captions?
If I understand what you want to do:
Put both lines of your captions on the same caption.
Then go to "Caption Motion" put the caption where you want it
( on the start window) and on the end window set your rotation
to minus 90 or whatever.

Re: Grouping captions?
Thanks for you response Forrest - much appreciated.
I forgot to mention that the captions are using different fonts too and are not aligned together so I can't have the two lines of text in one caption.
Great suggestion,
Thanks
Darren

Re: Grouping captions?
ok, try this.
Add 2 layers ( solid color - black )
Place one caption as desired font, location & rotation
one one layer.
On second layer place 2nd caption, font & location
Then add you picture as a third layer.
When I tried this it worked as per your description.

Re: Grouping captions?
Thanks Forrest.
I can't replicate your findings. I thought captions are slide captions and not layer based.
The issue is that I have 4 lines in the captions box:
Do
This
Do
That
They each have their own font style and colour, and are placed on the slide like:
..... Do this
..........Do that
However, the words this and that are already 90 degrees clockwise the other text
What I then want to do is make all the words together rotate counter clockwise as though they are grouped. At the moment the words rotate independently and do not give the desired effect.
Many Thanks

Re: Grouping captions?
So, I played with options for Captions and my discovery is that captions can NOT be grouped or motion sync'd to act as a group. So for now I have two options:
1. Keep the captions as individual motion layers
2. Re-create the captions in Illustrator and import into PS as transparent .png's
I opted for number 1 for now, as it suited my requirement better.
Pity we can't group captions though

Re: Grouping captions?
Darren, you fell into the same caption pit most of us do sooner or later where we really need captions on layers. Photodex has been nagged about this.
