16:9 crops work
I am fairly new to Producer, but I tried this and Producer comes through.
The Project was set at widescreen 16:9
My Canon PowerShot G9 shoots 1024 x 768 AVI videos at 15fps (Audio included). The concern most people have is FPS (Frame per second) mismatching and screen dimension. I imported another standard AVI 720 x 480 30 fps shot with a Panasonic mini-dv alongside the Canon Avi in the timeline.
Next I re-sized both videos in Producer to accomodate the 16:9 format (basically cropping what I didn't want.)
Rendered it to an AVI with a custom size that fits the 16:9 ratio, 25 fps (.mov Quicktime worked also).
Low and behold, everything came out OK with no distortion and the sound synced well.
Producer is OOOOOOK!
