main soundtrack and sound for individual slides

I want to put a soundtrack over some slides, but I have a problem concerning the main soundtrack in the slide(s) preceeding the slide where I put the additional soundtrack. I want the main soundtrack to fade during the slide preceeding the slide where the additional soundtrack starts. I can fade out the main soundtrack but this fading out starts only at the slide where I put the additional soundtrack. Fading in at the end op the additional soundtrack isn't a problem.

Adding a soundtrack of silence to the previous slide may do it for you.

The sound editor 'Audacity' (free) can make a silent soundtrack.

Brian, thank you for the response. Using audacity I added some silence to the beginning of the sound I wanted to put onto the slide and it works fine!

Have a look in show option (not slide option) and I think you will find under "sound" an option to control
the main sound track volume when a second track ie for a slide is also requested.
