It just states $250 for a slideshow but how many photos?, captions?, etc. Also, just driving your vistor to view your shows. Your ojective is to WOW them with your product so do everything you can to get them to click on the link to watch
I thought about this for awhile and I decided that I love doing shows but I love doing the art more. So pretty much that is the price, you can have as many pics, titles, captions etc... I am not really concerned. As for wowing, I still have a 40 hour a week day job so not ready to go crazy yet....It's working well locally so far. Thank you so much for taking a peek!!! Not finished yet........ Miss seeing your face...have a wonderful holiday! hugs Jan

Sounds good to me! I would just state that about the fee being as it is and nothing else. Sorry I have been getting busy with the holidays and everything. Site looks good!

wow what a beautiful site!
My sister in law is working on one for me and it's taking forever, I'm so anxious for it to be done...
I saw your sample shows and had a question about the begining of the classic rose wedding show.
I was looking for a similar effect that was on there (it looked kinda like little stars shooting across the words) Is it an effect that is easily achieved? I am having some trouble with the animated GIF's and wondered if that was what it was?
Great job!

Hey Jan - Personally, I like the picture on your home page.

slideshows.htm - Your first and third paragraphs are mostly identical so one needs to go away.

fineart.htm - the gap between the heading and the first paragraph is much too large. It needs to match the other pages. The apostrophe in Michael's is showing as a square box. You used a different symbol on this page than when you typed "for the web, DVD's are high" on the slideshows.htm page. The inch sign behind 2.75 is also showing as a box. Once again you used a different symbol there because it worked fine on "classic black 13" x 19" on fineart.htm. I can see the differences when I look at your code.

pricing.htm - get rid of the dots behind $250 and space your paragraphs out

The only other thing I noticed is you have the word copyright in the footer along with the copyright symbol. You certainly don't need them both so the spelled out version could go away.

I did not go back and read what I wrote originally, but viewed the pages as though I've never seen them before.

I certainly don't mind doing this for you, so if you need me to do it again, let me know. You're almost there as it's looking really, really good.

Enjoy your day! :)

Kathy

Hello, Jan!

I've said this before to others so it's nothing new, but I'm not a big fan of having to scroll if it can be avoided. The text on your home page seems as though it might fit in the empty area to the right of the image you have chosen. The font would have to be a bit smaller, but I think it would fit nicely and make everything visible on a 1024 x 768 browser without having to scroll down. It's just an idea.

Looks really nice, though. I like it.

I agree Mike, but that I don't know how to do. It comes from a template so I didn't have to start from scratch. Got some easy directions? Cheers Jan

Hi, I just read your post and checked out your website. I was wondering how it's going? Have you gotten business as a result? I really like it, simple and to the point.

Not really but I don't have the budget to spend on site traffic help. It is more of a place to send people I meet as I network. Alot easier than carrying a portfolio around with me LOL. I have gotten business once they have gone to the address I give them, but not through the site itself. Thanks! I was going for simple, the other site just ended up too busy. I have just been invited to do a presentation for a camera club on Slide Shows at the end of the month. Great networking opportunity - and should be fun. cheers Jan

Good luck with the presentation. I'm offering a presentation to an assisted living facility in my area. I have been looking for an opportunity (volunteer) to work with alzheimer's patients, and want to do slideshows for them and their families. What kind of information are you going to share? I am thinking of talking about how past memories come easier for those who are memory impaired and that a slideshow, maybe with some video footage thrown in, will serve as "reminescence therapy". Plus, a slideshow is a wonderful gift for the family to have.

Cheryl, this is slightly off-topic, but I have to commend you for seeking to work with Alzheimer's patients. They are the lost souls, often the forgotten ones. They need kindness.

One thing I would consider putting in a show would be the immediate family members and their relationship to the patient - I lost my mom to that disease several years ago (that was how I got started playing with Gold). It is very tough when they don't recognize their own children or grand children. I sure don't want to go that way :(
