Thanks Chrissy!! I didn't want to go back to school or reinvent the wheel or pay 350.00 page. Not that someone's time wouldn't be worth it, I just can't afford it. So I found the " All Web Co " site which sells templates and it worked great!!! Little more tweaking and I will be happy, and I haven't forgotten(sp) about that deal we had, just been to busy to send you the product. They are coming I promise!!!! I need your input on them. hugs me!

Jan - Websites are a lot of work and a p-i-t-a because even though it might look good and function properly in FF, doesn't mean it will look and act the same in IE. I know you aren't done yet, but here are a few things that I noticed -

At the top of every page you have the banner with your company name and on the right is a picture that is a link. I should be able to hover over it and have it show me where this link is going to take me. This picture takes me to the About Me page. When I am on the About Me page, that picture should no longer be a link, especially a link that is still pointing to the same page. Are you planning on being able to link to all your pages from the top of each page (kind of like you did at the bottom of index.htm with the pictures)?

index page....where you split the table and have the menu items on the left (home/about me/slideshows/etc) and the picture on the right, why is the area that contains the picture so large on this page? The other pages, with the exception of the gallery page, are all the same and look so much better.

On slideshow.htm, I think Classic Lace and Classic Rose should line up.

fineart.htm - contrary to what the wording says, no show loads. The text shows up as bright blue because all of the text is a link. If I hover over any part of the text, it becomes green. The text on this page should match the text color on every other page. If you want people to be able to view the sample show perhaps add the appropriate words and have it link to a show.

On every page you have a picture to the right of the menu items. Is there any way to make the picture take up the entire width of area or to add additional pictures? I think it would look better if it were all picture in that area?

At the bottom of index.htm you have little pictures that are links to other pages. The same links should be available on all other pages. The only other page that has links at the bottom is fineart and they are spelled out.

I realize you are still under construction. I also realize since you bought a template, there are some things that you won't be able to change. Hopefully some of what I've written will help.

Thanks Kathy

I appreciate the input. It is a template and I wanted to change the least amount I had too...I am going to print out what you have written and take a look at it today. Not sure how to fix the Fine Art page text but the show should load. will check that out as well. thank for taking the time to write all that down for me, but now I have to go work on it. Just kidding, it's all good! cheers Jan

Jan, the site has a clean, professional look to it. It's a template? I'm so used to seeing gaudy templates that it surprised me when you said that's what this is.

You have your plate full now that Kathy has gone through everything in detail. We all need at least one person to do this kind of thing for us. I have a friend who's relentless, and I love him for it. :D

Didn't mean to load you down with more work Jan.

I think it is important to be as consistent as possible between your pages. You don't want a potential customer searching for something that was very evident elsewhere.

Jan,

Looks good. Very clean and professional. I really like your tag line. Only a few things to mention. I would explain your pricing page a little bit more. It just states $250 for a slideshow but how many photos?, captions?, etc. Also, just driving your vistor to view your shows. Your ojective is to WOW them with your product so do everything you can to get them to click on the link to watch. That is all I got! Goodluck!
