I am not sure if anyone can help me but I just made up a logo for a friend for his new business. He loved it. I am very creative but I am really bad when it comes to all of the technical stuff. He needs me to send it to him on a CD so he can have them printed for use. Do I need to put it on a cd in a certain format or something like that. I used CS3 to create it...I would really appreciate the help thanks....I wish I knew more about the formats of certain things I just cant seem to get it. Is there a book or something that might help me.
thanks
debbie

How much do you charge for a logo...I did it in about 30 an hour using juicedrops and CS3. Any ideas what people get to design a logo..I have no clue

If you have 'transparent' areas I would send it as a .png file to preserve these. If not as a .bmp file, which is lossless. If you still have all the layers, and you don't mind it possibly being altered, you could send a .psd file. A .jpg file compresses the data and is 'lossy' so I would not use that.
You could of course save it in all formats and let him choose

I guess saving it in all the formats so they can choose would be the best way to
go....

Why not ask your client what format they want/need?

Most printing companies want CMYK.
This way they can separate it when printing colors.
