Opinions for promotional photo
I can't decide. One of these two photos will be used on my web site for a sample show under the banner Business Promotional Show - wedding photographer on the French Riviera. The purpose of the photo, of course, is to entice the visitor to watch the show as an example of my work.
Which photo should I use, A or B? Thanks for your opinion, Mark

Hi,
They're both very nice images, but I like the first one better. It has more detail showing "What You Do" (masking effects, etc.) and better represents a "Business Promotional Show".
Just my opinion of course.

Mark,
To me choice is A. It highlights wedding dress and your services.

Given the two choices, I vote for "A" as well because it's not as "busy" and has a good amount of "white space" for the logo and info at the right. I don't like the shadow stripes on the girls' skin.
If you're using a mask over the image to get the logo on the screen and make the composite, I would consider giving the bride's image more room under the "white" portion of the mask as it's muddying up the bride's facial area. As it is now, the viewer's eye goes straight to the highlighted hand at the left of the image when it should at least be going first to the bride's face and bouquet area IMO.
If the photographer did the composite, it could use some more work to bring out/highlight the bride's face.
If he doesn't want to make those changes or isn't skilled enough to do that in post processing, then it's his call I suppose if he wants to keep the image as is.

Pick 'A' because it provides more descriptive content.

Mark,
I make Debbie's words mine. I agree 100% with her.
But I would also like to suggest you some other picture. You see, I watched your show so many times that I remember another picture that really impressed me a lot more... It's the one where the bride is looking down to a town, and she's holding the veil as if she would fly. That pic is amazing and a lot less conventional than picture A.
Think about it...

Thanks for the suggestion for the other photo and the multi-view compliment. I know just the shot you're thinking of and I will consider it. Blaise Fiedler gave me so many great photos that it's tough to select just one for a show thumbnail. Gosh, maybe my "thumbnail" should be a low-res, autoplay mini Proshow with 3 or 4 photos. Hmmmm.

Mark,
I also vote for A.
However, I suggest you tone down the logo a bit so the bride is the focal point, generating peoples interest in your service. At the end of the day you are selling photography (and not logos). I think the bride's image is too dark.

Just in case you aren't quite convinced, I also cast a vote for 'A'. It's moodier and more stylish.
