I need help designing a template like this.

Postby alantone » Wed Jan 07, 2009 7:01 pm

I have a company that produces virtual tours for real estate. Several clients have asked for a slideshow presentation of their home. I have seen quite a few companies using ProShow to build their tour slideshows and they all have a slideshow playing on top and a series of thunbnails for navigation at the bottom.

Here's an example: http://www.srq360.net/sky/4136robertspointcircle/

I need a template like this with different colors and logo, can anyone tell me how they did this, or is anyone willing to build me a template like this for a reasonable amount of dollars?

I may be out in left field, but Photodex software cannot produce this. It is a Flash presentation, which I don't know how to do...., so there maybe some Photodex in there but not the end result. If I am wrong, somebody please tell me, as I have realtors that would love if I could do this!!

I did this demo for a realtor and hope to get work from him later this year.....

Let me know what you find out....cheers Jan

I think that what is used here is a flash website template.
On the one hand you have pictures being displayed one by one - and there are many web applications that do this - and on the other hand there is the show itself (activated from a separate button).
The show is a simple pan-zoom type and can definitely be done in Producer and converted to flash.

I may be mistaken, but I did not see any interactivity between the show and the individual pictures.

So, what you need here, is not a Proshow template, but rather a web designer who is proficient in flash applications and can make the buttons for you.

Alan,

I do not know what web builder you use but I have WYSIWYG and it is very affortable ($39.95). With a little practice it allows you to build your own website. They have several extensions to the program and one does what you are looking for. http://www.wysiwygwebbuilder.com/slideshow.html After you purchase the program you could load your current files into the program and probably tweek a little bit and add this feature. They have a forum as well that is very helpful.

To answer your question with Producer. To my knowledge, you can not get the effect you are going for.

Goodluck!

Thanks everyone, Well I'm glad I sisn't spend too much time with the program trying to figure it out, since it can't do it. I can easily create the effect using a flash slideshow and then having the first slide be a flash output from ProShow. I was just hoping to be able to use one program and a template to make life simpler. Thanks everyone.

I figured it out using a third party slide show application. Here's an example, I used a .flv for the first slide that was a true video, but that's where the Proshow output will normally go.
