Re: Photoframes as templates
Have a look now at Alex (Italiamipiace) addition to the Member Created Files section.
These tutorials on masks, keyframes and layers, I have not studied them in detail (will probably have to learn Flemish/Dutch for some of them ), will be added to my section containing THE BOOK.
Thanks Alex they look very informative.

Re: Photoframes as templates
Hello all:
I thought it better to make a link for the photo frames rather than sending emails…
I use paint shop pro as my graphics editor, so all these photo frames have a psp file extension…
100 of them have a png extension, and 191 have a pfr extension which can be renamed to a psp or in Photoshop’s case a psd…
These frames were meant to be used as a plug-in…
I don’t know if any of this will help anyone but if you have any skills with a graphic’s program you will figure it out…

Merry Christmas… Ken

Thanks Ken. There are some cute frames with the png extension.
Just to let others know, the pfr files can not be renamed to psd and then opened in Photoshop. You will get "not a valid Photoshop document."

Yes I know... you could DL a trial version of paintshop pro, and save them as a png...

Hi Ken,
I just downloaded your frames. They are terrific! Thanks for sharing.
The download was amazingingly fast! It came down at over 1000kb per second!
BTW, hello to everyone else. It has been awhile since I've been around. I started working at the job from hell back in June. Little time to do much else.
Hopefully I'll be back more often.

Coincidentally, this popped into my head last night: "I wonder what happened to Sheldon?" Now I know. You were swallowed by the Work Whale. Happy to hear you're being regurgitated.

Re: Photoframes as templates
Hi Debbie,
I tried out your suggestions, and indeed it’s a simple way to quickly create frames in PSP.
I selected a simple rectangular, and with the Gradient Setting Position, it’s possible to change the position of the middle square (what is supposed to be the transparent part of the frame), but the shape stays a perfect square.
As I’m using images of 3888x2592px,so the frame covers a great part of my picture, what’s not my intension.
Is there a way to adjust this frame dimensions (or the middle square dimensions) in order to create a real rectangle and not only a square?
Tkx,
Greetings
Alex

by debngar on Sat Nov 29, 2008 11:23 am :If you need to resize a tiny bit after inserting in a slide, unlock x & y and fiddle by stretching it vertically or horizontally.
Yes, resize this way, in the motion window. You can also grab the preview screen in the gradient edit window and offset your "hole".
I don't remember seeing any way to specify exact dimensions though. You will want to probably stay within safe zone which will be done by eye balling the hole while you fiddle with x and y settings separately.

Re: Photoframes as templates
Conversion of Ken's .psp, .pfr and .pfr to PSD images.
First of all, Producer recognize the three formats. You can use them directly.
If for any reason (uniformisation is mine) you want to convert these files, you can use http://www.imageconverterplus.com/.
The .psp and .pfr files are all identical frames, so I converted only .psp and .png files to .PSD files.
It took me less than one minute to convert 290 images to .PSD.
Success

Hi Alex,
I followed Ken's suggestion and downloaded the trial version of Paint Shop Pro and converted them to png files. I am interested in your link though. It wasn't clear to me what the differences were between the free download and the paid version of Image Converter Plus. Which do you have?
Thanks,
Frankie
