Oops !
For any of you who downloaded the Marquee Effect zip file from my web site, please discard it and download again. A couple of people reported finding an error message when building the AVI. I looked into the code this morning and found that I was just a little too clever. I had changed something right at the very last moment which I thought would improve the appearance of the program and make the user interface more friendly. Well, through an inadvertant screw up of a directory pointer, this "improvement" improved things to the point that the program would no longer work if you were writing the AVI to any directory other than the one where the bitmaps were built and stored.
This is now fixed and I've updated the zipped files on my site, www.visisketchpro.com
Sorry for any inconvenience I may have caused you.

Dave! That is the coolest, EASIEST effect I have ever worked with! My gosh, how in the world did you create that???
Your instructions were right on...thank you again. I am jammed right now with 14 shows all due in early June and many of them are kids shows, so this will be a perfect beginning for them.

Mary, I'm glad everything worked for you (on the second download ) and that you have a use for the effect - probably as a show opener.

Dave, I really appreciate the fact that you're sharing these two items with all of us. I also really appreciate the fact that your instructions warned about the possible disappearance of the universe.
Thank you for all your hard work and also for that universal heads-up.

Dave,
This was a really nice way to create a different show opener. Your program was very easy to use and it worked out right the first time.
Thanks for sharing it with us.

Thank you for sharing this unique opener!
You have a real knack for writing simple user-interface programs. So easy for the end-user to utilize & figure out rather quickly. (VisiSketchPro is one of my favorite tools in my arsenal!)
