If you are looking for a more detailed explanation, here is the "why" behind it

The newest version of ProShow can always work with older version of ProShow.
That is, the program is compatible with its previous versions.

The opposite though, doesn't work.
Older versions of ProShow cannot display the new features of Producer 5. For example, the tilting features of Producer 5, don't work in previous versions.
