Re: 2 panels rotate display different photos
I suppose many of us have done this effect, so I don't know which one you saw.
I know that I have such a style, and it's in my Tilt Effects vol. 1.

Look for the two portrait pictures of yellow flowers that turn and display red flowers.

Thanks for reply Mona - yes the portrait of the flowers is very similar to the one i viewed, but the pictures in the one I saw were static and just rotated to reveal another picture.
Great collection of yours - thanks

You might also look on Dale's site (http://fenimorephotovideos.com/PSP/Prod ... undles.htm) as well as my own. Possibly The Frame Locker's Turnabout?

Re: 2 panels rotate display different photos
although I can't find the thread right now, one of our members Anitaemile, posted a tutorial how to do exactly that and I wonder if that is not what you saw. She explains how to do this yourself.
I found the video on youtube:
Hopefully this is what you were searching for.

Re: 2 panels rotate display different photos
Mike,
in its simplest approach, the effect is very simple to create. It's little more than placing two images at the same location. One image has a vertical tilt of 0 deg and rotates to +/- 90. The other at -/+90 and rotates to 0. The rotation of the 2nd starts when the rotation of the other a +/- 90 deg of rotation (tilt-vt or tilt-hz).
For example, assume you have a slide with a slide time of 9 seconds. (I'm leaving the transition region out of this example for simplicity sake).
Image-A has 3 keyframes: kf1 at 0s, kf2 at 3s and kf3 at 4s.
• Kf1 to kf2 has a tilt-Vt of 0 for both.
• Kf2 to kf3 goes from 0 (kf2) to -90 deg (kf3) of tilt-Vt.
Image-B has 3 keyframes: Kf1 at 4s, kf2 at 5s, and kf3 at 9s.
• Kf1 to kf2 goes from a vertical tilt of 90 deg (kf1) to 0 deg (kf2)
• Kf2 to kf3 has a tilt of 0 for both.
So, each image has 3 seconds of looky-loo time and there is a transition time of 2 seconds (where the images are tilting out of/into sight).
Very easy, very simple. You merely "swap" images when both are at edge-on orientation (plus or minus 90 degrees of rotation).
Doing this in the horizontal is exactly the same except that you use tilt-Hz instead of tilt-Vt. Now, while it looks better if each image is exactly the same size, it's not necessary because you're swapping the images at the edge-on position.
That's it in its simplest terms. Now, experiment from there for more interesting effects. Vary the rotation enters. Put two images side-by-side and rotate them differently to transition to the next image ... several interesting ideas to choose from.
