help with music

Postby irina1208 » Fri Jul 12, 2013 10:14 am

Hello, everyone!

Right now I'm creating slide show for my friend's father. He is 90 years old. My friend wants three different songs to put in this show. My question is - can I put one couplet from each songs?
I try to put one couplet from one song, then I try to put one couplet from other song, but something wrong - all couplets mix up. I thing I doing something wrong.
Can you give me specific directions for figure out this problem? Or when I can read about explanation of this problem?

I try to find some information about this problem in our forum, but I can't find it.

Any help will be really appreciated.

Thanks,

Irina :D

I assume by "couplet" you mean a segment from the song. Probably the easiest way to do that is with an audio editor where you can cut the segments you want and easily blend them together to make the one you want. Many people use the free Audacity ( http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ ). It can be done in Proshow, but it takes a bit of practice to set the start/end points then put that in and overlap it with the next one. For anything other than either trimming the ends or adjusting the fade/overlap, I go to an external editor to put what I want together then bring that into Proshow.

Here are two tutorials that may help you get familiar with how to edit music using the tools in ProShow if you decide you want to try that before using an outside music editor.

"Trimming music using ProShow"

"Using the timeline to adjust the music"

If you wish to see additional tutorials related to the subject of soundtrack, there is a 4 page list of results from searching for "edit sountrack" on the Photodex ProShow blog site help area.
