country music for wedding rehearsal

Postby HunnyB » Wed Feb 17, 2010 7:15 am

I am at a loss right now. Guess it is brain freeze, or old age.
I need suggestions for songs for a wedding rehearsal show - and they love country music.
I already have Mark Wills 'I Do".

I would like some current stuff - and I don't want to use Tim and Faith.

THANKS for any help.

Hi Hunny
Here's a link to a song & lyrics named "YES" by Chad Brock. It's a real nice country wedding song. Play it twice and I think you'll agree
http://www.lyriczz.com/lyrics/chad-brock/6206-yes!/

My favorite though is this - Tracy Byrd, what a voice and the song is "Keeper of the Stars"
Here's the You Tube Video

Hope this helps a little

Hi Hunny - one of my faves is "Cross my Heart - George Strait - perfect!

http://www.amazon.com/I-Cross-My-Heart/dp/B000WLYRYW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1266608312&sr=1-1

Our love is unconditional, we knew it from the start.
I see it in your eyes, you can feel it from my heart.
From here on after let's stay the way we are right now,
And share all the love and laughter
That a lifetime will allow.

I cross my heart and promise to
Give all I've got to give to make all your dreams come true.
In all the world you'll never find a love as true as mine.

You will always be the miracle that makes my life complete,
And as long as there's a breath in me, I'll make yours just as sweet.
As we look into the future, it's as far as we can see,
So let's make each tomorrow be the best that it can be.

I cross my heart and promise to
Give all I've got to give to make all your dreams come true.
In all the world you'll never find a love as true as mine.

And if along the way we find a day it starts to storm,
You've got the promise of my love to keep you warm.
In all the world you'll never find a love as true as mine,
A love as true as mine.

This song was sung at my wedding...
Shania Twain - From This Moment

Darius Rucker's "History in the Making"
Check out the words to the lyrics on this site: http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/d/dari ... aking.html

If you listen to it with the mind set that the "first kiss" he is talking about could be the "first kiss" as man and wife, it makes perfect sense.
