Copyright Songs w/PSG on internet

Would like to know the legal status of using copyrighted songs incorporated into a slide presentation and hosted on the internet. What trouble can I get into by using just a few selections.

The simple answer is that unless you go to special effort to acquire the necessary rights, the slide show will infringe the copyright of the holder.
