1st Birthday Show - Song Ideas Please

Postby SandyB » Thu Jun 04, 2009 9:49 am

Baby's mom sings Twinkle, Twinkle to him. Any favorite versions?
Other ideas for baby boy show songs?
Thanks much!
Sandy

I really don't have a favorite for Twinkle, Twinkle but here are a few songs I've used in baby boy shows:

Beautiful Boy-John Lennon or Celine Dion
Ain't Noboby Else Like You-Mama Cass
Danny's Song-Anne Murray or Kenny Loggins
Thank God For Kids-Kenny Chesney
Godspeed-DixieChicks

Twinkle Twinkle - Israel Kamakawiwo'ole (Beautiful Hawaiian version)
Twinkle Twinkle - The Five Satins (50's/60's type of music)
Then of course there is the version by Raffi or another beautifully soft version is by Jewel
Other choices could be...
Bing Crosby - Swinging on a Star
Dean Martin - Angel Baby
Brook Benton - Thank You Pretty Baby
Baby Face (You've got the Cutest little baby face) by Al Jolson & Bing Crosby or Art Mooney & his Orchestra or Brenda Lee BUT my favourite version is by Little Richard believe it or not. I've used that version in several shows with baby pics and it goes over extremely well. Check it out.

Nantory, LeeLee, TinaJ, Colleen and Brad ~

BIG thanks for the song suggestions. Thinking of songs is the toughest part of doing a show for me and I really appreciate your ideas. The songs are sweet as are the pictures. Hope it all comes together for Jaxon.

Smiles and thanks,
Sandy

Sandy
I found these very cute birthday songs on amazon.com that use the name of the birthday boy or girl throughout the song. Search amazon.com mp3s for the artist name "lunchbox and friends" there you will see hundreds of songs with different names.
