help with songs please!!

Hey Guys!!
O.k.......ya'll have always come to my rescue......and I need your help again!!
I have to do a slideshow for a wedding shower. I do not have a clue on what songs to use.
The bride-to-be said for me to just use anything....I am clueless.....nothing I put with it sounds right....
It will take 2 or 3 songs because the show is around 10 minutes long!! HELP!!

Hey Karen. This is a hard one. First, you say it is for a wedding shower, does this mean it will just be played at the shower, or is it of the shower? Just wondering why the show has to be 3 songs.

If it is of the couple growing up, and dating - I would find out some of their favorite artist, and try and find songs that would fit - or an instrumental of the songs. I have a CD that has all instrumental love songs. I can always find music from it for my wedding shows. Let me know if you want some ideas from my CD.

"I've Dreamed Of You" - Barbra Streisand is a good choice. We used it in our wedding and I have used it in two wedding shows I have done.

Hunny's right - better if you could get or provide more specific information as to the potential content of the show. A growing up show is totally different than current photos of the couple for instance.

Also helpful to find out what music they DON'T like.

It is just pictures that I took at one of her showers. It is totally of shower pics....opening presents....pics of the guests....etc....
I just cannot find anything that sounds right for those pictures....

That's a hard one since there doesn't sound like there is a strong story line. You have enough pictures for 3 songs??? That sounds like about 100 slides, then 10 minutes would be about right. The show I just did of my friend's engagement party/shower kind of thing started out to be about 7-8 min and that was initially way too long. I changed the music, cut the show in half by removing a lot of unnecessary images, grouped some together and shortened most of the transition and slide times. Now it's only 3 min or so. I'm including the 175 photos that were keepers in a folder on the DVD with the slide show but there were nowhere near that many presented in the final slide show.

You are right Debbie...on the number of pics and the lenght of the show.....which all of that can be changed
when I find the "right" music. I am thinking about just using an instrumental at this point....I don't think I have ever NOT been able to find the right music....This has been a challenge....
I have got to do a slideshow of the wedding after it takes place. That should be alot easier!!

What is the slide show about- is it about the couple? That would make a difference on what music you choose.

I posted a LONG post about this yesterday,... WHERE DID IT GO. very strange.
Anyway, I was asking if the show is about the shower itself, or the couple getting married.
That makes a difference. If it is about the two of them, find out some of their favorite music. And if the words are not suitable, find the instrumental of the songs, or the artist they really like.
I have a CD full of inst. love songs. I use them a lot for weddings and such. Good luck.
