A little late reading this I guess.. but movement ... like others say.. personal choice and it depends on the viewer.
The auther, Jesse Stuart said when he tried to write to please others he failed. When he wrote to please himself it sold. For several years I made PSG shows for high school students... and believe me, I used plenty of motion, transitons, and captions. A PBS documentary would have put them to sleep. I created a tribute for a priest celebrating his Golden Jubilee and though I guess my style and technique are in all of my shows, this show was different than the youth shows. I look at each PSG as a story to be told. Every story is unique and therefore I don't feel there is a set template for motion, transitons, etc. The total picture includes all of these plus music, sound effects, layers, and whatever helps tell the story.
