Questions regarding captions

Postby Geo » Tue Jan 15, 2008 8:52 am

Okay, so here is what I'm thinking about.....

Opening show with some stock footage, no problem.

Add a caption like such and such presents...fine, no problem.

Now, I'd like to add the next caption to the footage, say as it pans up, presents.

Trying to figure out the technique......Would this work.....

Make the second caption a layer with a transparent background and motion it in and out as I want?

thoughts?

Additionally, I'm guessing that the "caption layer" would be accomplished with a photo editor able to make a transparency?

Thanks in advance,

geo

Geo,

Could you not just add your caption and under text effects normal chose full pan up. I hope this option is available in Gold. I am not sure.

Like Colleen, I know it can be done her way in Producer, I also think Gold.

However there is nothing to stop you doing it your way with text on a transparent layer. Doing it on a layer you can move the text all over the place, but you won't have text effects (letters moving individually).

Thanks for the replies.

Yes, I believe that it should not be a problem with Colleen's way, but I was thinking of something with more flexability so that I can have different captions come in and out individually with different timing in PSG. Just waiting on upgrading to PSP with full discount....may 1st.

thanks,
