Pile of images

Sun Jul 12, 2009 1:52 pm

I'm still in a relative early stage of understanding this great software. I tried to build a template of a number of images stacked in one pile in the center of the screen. What I tried to do was to move the top image to the side into the background so that the next image would show in the center. And so on, eventually building a background with multiple images. When I move the first image, part of it covers the next image in the center pile. Is there a way that I can move the center image pile forward so that the image I just moved to the background will be partially cover by the center image?
Thanks for your help
Matthias

Each time you move a pic out of the way, you need to go to layers and change the number of that particular photo's layer to the last one, then all others move up one. That's how I do it anyway.

Tanya,
I tried it but had no success. I set the time line under the images in the Effects Motion Effects (first 2 seconds still image, next one second move to side, next 1 second I moved the layer to the last position in the pile. The effect is that the last image from the pile now moves to the side. I'm sure I'm missing a critical step. Could you please tell me which one.

Thanks
Matthias

Let's try this:
First slide:2 second view of picture
Second slide: 1 second movement of picture to side
Third slide: change the number of the first picture's layer to the last using the blue down button. That should push the rest up 1 spot. Now, same slide, 2 second view of picture
Fourth slide: repeat second slide
Fifth slide: repeat 3rd slide.
Worth a shot!!
