Welcome to our funny farm !!

What do you mean by the "water drop effect" -- are
you looking for something like the ripple effect when
you throw a stone into a pond or just what (that is
the effect often used to indicate a transition into a
"dream" or "old memories" state (my normal condition)
or are you looking for something different?

Any examples you can point us at ?

There was an avi floating around (no pun intended) of a drop of water dropping into a pool and the ruppling effect it produced.

Is this what you're looking for?

Patsy Murphy, Dublin ?!?!? Now there is a real
Irish combination !! :D (my grandfather was
from Belfast and my mom was very proud of her
Irish heritage !! -- managed to make a trip over there
before she died a couple of years ago. Her life was
complete !! )

That is a neat effect.

I would be interested in adding that to my creative stuff.

Any tips on how to do that?

Hi Patsy,

The tutorial link doesn't work. I did find the avi file in the forum at the very end of the 2nd page though.

I don't use Premier so maybe the tutorial wouldn't have been helpful for me anyways.

But I downloaded the avi and will see what I can do with it!

Thanks a bunch.

Patsy,
I have the AVI. Didn't remember it was you who created it. It's nearly 30MB zipped.

I'd be glad to upload it if we have the room somewhere, but Debbie said she found it. Do you have the link, Debbie?

hi everyone, thanks for your help, the exact effect i was after is the waterdrop effect on the spotlighted shows for pro photographers on the photodex website, but the 1 you mentioned is similar, i think it is even the same avi file, i cant seem to get it to come through though when i click on that direct link???

Also if anyone has a look at the spotlighted show i mentioned... do you have any trouble viewing it? everytime i watch it i only get up to the women with the white mask on, then my whole computer freezes and i have to turn the computer off completely to reboot!! arghgh! bit annoying

thanks everybody for your help :)

Michelle,
To your fist post: People reported problems in viewing that demo with an old version of the Presenter Viewer. Either download the new viewer from the Photodex site, or update the whole program, which will update your viewer as well.

To your second post: In order to download that avi file, right click on the link and press "save target as" if you use Internet Explorer or press "save link as" in Firefox.
Pay close attention in what directory the computer saves your downloaded file and collect it from there.
