Why choose mov, avi, mov or other?
I am new so please bear with me. I see that PSP will accept wmv, avi, mov, and there may be others. Does it make any difference which format is used to produce moving backgrounds. I have a program that will convert gifs into many formats, but I have no idea which is best to use.
I do notice that wmv seems to produce a smaller file size than avi most of the time.

I find mov and avi are usually a better quality. It's all about quality.... Cheers Jan

AVI quality depends on the codec used for compression. A non-lossy codec will give the best quality of course. I've found that a wmv introduces a lot of noise if it's re-rendered. The best codec to use depends on what your output will be used for.
