Adobe After Effects ???

Postby tko » Wed Jul 25, 2007 12:49 pm

Has anyone used Proshow and Adobe After Effects? I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around what After Effects really does. Can it do what Proshow does except more and better? Yes, I know Photoshop really well.

Yes, I know it's a vastly more expensive program. But I've found older versions (like 7, which I think is only one version old) on sale for $300. If you find an old copy and upgrade it might become affordable.

While I can't answer your specific question, make sure if you are buying an
"older copy" that it is legit and that you can register it. Amazing how often
people will find a "good deal" on something like this only to find that number
has already been registered to someone else or is pirated (or is an educational
version that for some stuff can not be upgraded).

You can't have too many gadgets or too much disk space !!

Here is a good source of video tutorials for Adobe products. You will note there is one for After Effects.

This may show the capabilities.
