Re: Are there still people working with ProShow ?
Hello Forum,
in the past we (Forum) had many suggestions (64 bit, MAC etc.) what we expect from Photodex. Unfortunately, these suggestions were not implemented. PSP is a wonderful software and I do not want it to die. I do great AV- productions in the past. In Germany there is nothing comparable. Why do not they make PSP in german language?
It would be good for Germany, Austria and parts of Switzerland. In Germany, such Software ( M-Objects and Platinum Wings) Costs 700-1200.- USD. I hope PSP does not die!!!!!!
Best regards Dieter

I have made a french version of ProShow which is used as a patch. All the matter is in the pxf directory. It may take a long time the first time but it's a solution. There are localized versions of ProShow in the world, I think that there is one in german.

Haven't upgraded since 8. Waiting for 10. Does it look likely in the near future?

Dieter, I didn't see anything in 9 that would benefit me. Hopefully 10 will offer something I can use! If there is a 10.

Hello Bob,
We hope you'll have to wait patiently until to know what is going on with Photodex up to now. We'll be very sorry if Photodex is going out of business… quetzal

Yep. It would be sad to have them go out of business. Could be good or bad if sold to someone else though.

Hi Bob,
yes you are right i think so too. But when Photodex dies, I've the last version that better suits Windoes 10 as PSP 7.
We all hope to PSP10
First, photodex must survive.
Best regards Dieter

Re: Are there still people working with ProShow ?
Hello forum members:
Can someone more technically savvy than me please clarify whether PSP will continue to work in the sad event that Photodex collapses, or will the program fail because it can no longer interact with things like the Music Library or because it can no longer check the validity of Registration Codes etc.? The news that various foreign language versions of PSP are being saved is certainly worrying for someone like me, who creates many slideshows, not professionally but for the many friends and relatives who are keen on photography.
Many thanks - Mike - UK

Re: Are there still people working with ProShow ?
I am beginning to wonder about Photodex...now I see their website is down with no response. I need to download PSP 8 so I can re-install it on a new computer with Windows 10 but with the website down I'll just have to wait and see if it comes back up soon.
Isitdown claims its been down for some time ....
In the meantime I've been trying out other slide show programs including Photoshop CC 2019.
I thought about pic to exe (Wnsoft) but seeing as they are a Russian company and they want a lot of personal info, I'll pass on that one .

Re: Are there still people working with ProShow ?
I'm unable to browse the Photodex website, and using PSP8, neither checking for an update (which usually asks me to upgrade to V9) or viewing the download music library work anymore. So it looks like all Internet communications with Photodex are severed. Anyone else finding the same issues?

Looks like it’s gone and not even a word from these people.

Photodex' site works as usual.
The Music Library also works as usual.
