ProShow 8 - merge shows crashes

I made a show in 2 parts - now I want to merge them.
I bring them both into PSP8; Tools -> Combine Shows.
I put the 2 shows in desired order, and click OK. After a bit of "Not responding", the program crashes.
This happened 3 times, so it is real. My Win 10 computer has 12G of RAM and is new. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

A New Version, 8.0.3648 was just Released on July 28, 2016. Perhaps this will fix your issue.

I did upgrade, but same issue. I tried the same merge of shows on my laptop as well, and got a crash there too. I wonder if anyone else has this issue when doing the "combine shows" in PSP 8. Thanks.

Just to be sure the PB is not elsewhere, did you tried the old way : copy and paste slides ?

Yes I actually did the cut-paste first, which crashed the program, so I have been trying to do this with "combine programs" instead, but that also crashes program. Maybe a PSP 8 issue? I have asked Photodex about this, but thus far they never got back to me. Thanks.

Got Version 8 -
did combining 2x existing (rather long ones - 4 + 5 minutes) individual shows - into ONE .... Had no problem .... Worked great !!!

Thanks Alex - Since you were able to do show merge in PSP 8, that means I will have to keep fiddling and look for something at my end (but I don't know what!)

Probably something special in one show.

I would try to duplicate each show and then try to copy the first one copy at the end of the first one and the second one copy at the end of the second to see what happens...

Terrific idea! Result: 1 & copy-1 does merge. 2 & copy-2 crashes. At least I have a place to look now (at show 2). I'll keep you posted, and welcome any other ideas. Thank you.
