Haven't had a chance to look at it yet but from what I gather you can now just direct your output to a thumb drive for example? Does it create some kind of auto play file as well?

The output is a video file. It doesn't play by itself. (no auto play).
You will need your TV menu to play it (if you stick it in your TV), or if you use a computer or other smart device, then, any Media Player program/application will play it.
Re: PROSHOW 8 IS HERE!
As there has been no mention of the coding, I assume that version 8 is still 32 bit?

Re: PROSHOW 8 IS HERE!
I will skip this version. I thought there was a nice upgrade from Version 5 to V6 and Version 6 to V7. There is not enough to lure me into this version. The timing of the releases makes me miss the free upgrade all of the time *LOL*

Re: PROSHOW 8 IS HERE!
Is there a tutorial video of the new captions/text functionality? I searched but found none. Thanks.

Thanks for the explanation.

Looking into this a bit further I came across this interesting article re. autorun & USB drives:

HI
For Windows, not for TV.
It is an old article : not sure it's still working with recent Windows and antivirus...

If you find a good 3rd party program that creates a menu as well as an autorun, on a flash drive, please, let us know.
Personally, I think that double clicking on a video file is rather easy. Windows will open your default media player, and "auto play" it.
And, of course, no Windows autorun will work on a TV. That's pretty obvious
