YouTube Upload Question
...
Why are my videos/slideshows so blurry when I upload them to YouTube?
I have tried SEVERAL different ways and they all come out the same.
Any tips?
Thanks in advance.

Re: YouTube Upload Question
There are several preset resolutions from which you can choose in Producer.
Which one are you using?
The best one, available now in Producer 7, is 1080p60 which is really very good.
Perhaps your internet connection doesn't allow you to view videos at their highest resolution. YouTube usually adapts the preview to the speed of a viewer connection.
If you click on the gear icon at the bottom right of the YouTube preview, you'll get a menu for Quality, and you can see if you are watching the quality that you have uploaded.

Re: YouTube Upload Question
I have not updated my software in a few years. I will call this week and have that done.
But meanwhile, my ProShow Producer offers me a few ways to publish my slideshow. I have been choosing the Flash option and also did what YouTube had suggested which was save as Quicktime then upload. Either one of those made a difference. You can either save to computer then upload to YouTube or directly upload it to YouTube.
You are saying that 1080 is what we need to do? What else do I need to do? What do YOU do when you upload a video/slideshow to YouTube so that it comes out as clear as it does when you watch it in ProShow?
I have the fastest speed internet. What am I to chose when the quality menu comes up?

What version of Producer are you using now?
I also save my videos first to computer and then upload through the browser.
I do use the setting that I wrote above, which is best viewed with Chrome, but in most cases the regular YouTube preset is enough.

Re: YouTube Upload Question
I have ProShow Producer and that's all it says. No number after it. I got it in 2012. I still have the book and the disc. I wonder if I can still get an update?
Anyway, I'm going to keep trying to save my show in different ways and see if that makes a difference. What a hassle. lol It's approximately 20 minutes long with a few video clips in it as well.
I really just need to know how to..... what resolution to set it as? Please help.
Can you please tell me what I need to set these as?

Re: YouTube Upload Question
I have a program where I keep all my notes about Producer, and it's going back several years
That's where I've found this screenshot.
Hope it helps you:
I think that you have Producer 4.
You can check this if you go to Help > About

Cherub:
you are awesome! It worked. I figured out how to make it save at 1080 and that made all the difference in the world! THANK YOU for being so helpful. I am a bit out of the loop.
I found out I have ProShow 5.3206 so I had an old one. lol
Thank you again!
