Re: where is the play button
Hi Francesca,
Glad to see you here again
Under the main preview, slightly to the left, there are several icons for play.
Click on the triangle.
To upload a picture here, you must upload it somewhere else first, and to post here just a link to it.
The image must not be wider than 600 px.

Re: where is the play button
It happens
I just took a look at the preview in Producer 4.5.
The position of the play button is the same, but there it sits on something that looks like a true timeline, whereas in ver. 7 there is just a line.
Maybe it's too schematic.
Glad you found it

Re: where is the play button
how about preview for when applying a style.............. used to see the preview by hooving the mouse ( I think), now can see preview before applying it... maybe I'm blind here too . lol
Re: where is the play button
In ver. 7 you must select the style (click on it with the mouse), until you see that it gets colored.
Then you will see the preview.
Then you will see the preview.
Re: where is the play button
Are you in the menu named "Slide Options" ? (look up and to the left)
Then check if you are in the menu named "Slide style" (slightly to the right).
At the very right of the preview window (you do see the window, I hope), you will see the description of the style that you selected.
Under the description and to the right of the preview, there is a triangle and next to it, the words "preview on".
Or you may see a square that says "preview off".
Do you see any of this ?
Edit post:
I've uploaded the screen for you. This is how it should look like if there are no pictures in your slide.

Re: where is the play button
I definetely do not have that screen...... which version are u using,I'm using 7.3518
The only way I can add a style to a pic is by clicking on FX, don't have a preview button there. In the slide options : layer settings, ajustments and effects (which has to do with keyframes)
Very weird
edited: oh I can from slide options, apply effects to selected files but cannot preview it (even when I select the style -which becomes blue)

Re: where is the play button
No. You are not in the right menu. The FX button takes you to the Managing Effects menu.
That's NOT where you need to be.
Let's do this together:
In your timeline (named in Producer 7 Slide List -where you see all your slides), Double click on one of the slides.
This will get you to the SLIDE OPTIONS menu, which is the most important menu of Producer.
Look at the left of this menu, and you will see the various tabs: Slide Settings, Slide Style, Slide Sound, Slide Background, and below Captions and the Layers.
Now press on Slide Style, and you'll see a menu that is different than what you've seen before, and it is what I showed you above.

Re: where is the play button
I just realized that I made things more complicated for you than necessary.
I should have told you simply that you have to click on Edit Slide instead of FX
But, that just shows you that I never look there. I always work with my Slide List.
