Help with a show idea

Wanting to do a little video slideshow for our Humane Society. Would put to a song and maybe tweek the words to fit animals. This is just in my mind and need help/ideas to make this easy as possible.
Maybe some of you have done something like this and can give me direction. (with not having to hire any professionals)

I have only added a couple of little video clips to my usual only photo slideshows.

1. Would I just take little video snipits on my flip video and then drop into the ProShow Producer? Then just add the music?

Don't want to get started and then find out I'm going about this all the wrong way.

It can be done any way you like. I would say it's helpful to include pertinent information in the show about the organization, contact info: website, physical address, phone, email, etc.

You're welcome to view the animal related event shows on my YouTube channel for ideas. There aren't any video clips in the animal slide shows though. But it's not hard to include them. My style tends to lean toward simple displays.
